David Kervin is the notary public and attorney who will notarize your documents.

What are your hours?
Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm.
Can you daft legal documents like a Bill of Sale or Power of Attorney?
Yes! It’s usually not expensive so call me so we can figure out what document you need.
I can also draft pretty much any document you need such as contracts, affidavits, bill of sales, powers of attorney and any other Louisiana legal instrument.
Can you notarize a document in any parish in Louisiana?
Yes! As an Attorney Notary, I am authorized by state law to notarize in any parish. I received my notary commission in New Orleans many years ago.
I have notarized countless documents over the years and I can help you take care of that task. Our office is conveniently located in Covington and I can travel to you for a reasonable fee.
Our notary fees are reasonable to give us a call so I quote you a price.
What types of documents have to be notarized in Louisiana?
Some common types of documents that usually require notarization include:
Real Estate Transactions: Deeds, mortgages, and other real estate documents typically need to be notarized to be legally binding.
Wills and Trusts: Notarization of wills and trusts can help prevent fraud and ensure that the documents are executed correctly.
Powers of Attorney: A power of attorney document granting someone else the authority to act on your behalf often requires notarization.
Contracts: Some contracts, particularly those involving significant financial transactions or legal agreements, may need to be notarized to be enforceable.
Affidavits: Sworn statements or affidavits may need to be notarized to verify the identity of the person making the statement.
Adoption Papers: Documents related to adoption, such as consent forms or legal petitions, often require notarization.
Medical Directives: Notarization of medical directives, such as living wills or healthcare proxies, can help ensure that your wishes are carried out regarding medical treatment.
Vehicle Titles: Some states require vehicle titles to be notarized when transferring ownership.
This list isn’t exhaustive, but it does give you an idea of the types of documents that require notarization.
What if my document is not on this list?
No worries! If it needs to be notarized, we can do it. Many financial companies require documents to be notarized simply because it gives them peace of mind about your identity, especially when you’re making a transfer of money in or out of their institution or opening a new account.
How can I reach you?
Just call or text 985-888-0640. You can come to the office or I can meet you for an additional fee.
